The Nightrats and Lá Fhéile Pádraig
St. Patrick’s Day is an annual feast day which celebrates Saint Patrick, one of the patron saints of Ireland, and is generally celebrated on March 17. Normally people celebrate with corn beef and wearing green.
The change to Ireland’s association with green rather than blue probably began around the 1750’s and lasted until March 17, 2009.
This year for good-luck everyone is going to see the Nightrats play at Good-Bye Blue Monday in Brooklyn.
The show is FREE!
Some people will wear green, some blue, but most will drink, and all will sing along with the Nightrats at 9PM.
